Weston, MA - The Husson women's outdoor track and field team's 16 athletes who competed in the 2013 Regis Pride Invitational achieved 27 personal bests over the weekend. This was the final meet for the Eagles before heading into championship season.

Diana Kruszewski (Auburn, ME), Taylor Zeigler-Miller (Bucksport, ME), and Sarah LaPlante (Wallingford, CT) finished 1-2-3 in the javelin throw. Kruszewski's 39.05 meter winning throw qualified her for Open New England's, and she will compete against athletes from the likes of Boston College, Boston University, UConn, and Northeastern. Kruszewski and LaPlante also finished third and fourth, respectively, in shot put.

Chrissy Larrabee (Brooks, ME) ran a 1:02.18 for second place in the 400 meter run, and she finished third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:25.16. Katherine Medeiros (New Bedord, MA) ran a personal best of 2:57.16 in the 800 meter, as well.

Coach Chris Wood commended his team's performances, saying, "We had a great meet today. We brought 16 athletes and they earned 27 PR's. The best two moments of the day were Diana's win in the javelin and Katherine Medeiros' PR in the 800 meter run. She broke the 3 minute barrier with a time of 2:57, and this is something she's been working on as a personal goal since October."

Alecia Palmer (Presque Isle, ME) grabbed second in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:02.81 and teammate Molly Frankinburger (Lebanon, CT) finished just behind her in third. Kateri Jeffrey (South Portland, ME) finished sixth in the same event. Frankinburger also ran the 3000 meter run in 11:50.16 for second place.
