Kruszewski's 39.05 meter winning throw qualified her for Open New England's, and she will compete against athletes from the likes of Boston College, Boston University, UConn, and Northeastern. Kruszewski and LaPlante also finished third and fourth, respectively, in shot put.

Coach Chris Wood commended his team's performances, saying, "We had a great meet today. We brought 16 athletes and they earned 27 PR's. The best two moments of the day were Diana's win in the javelin and Katherine Medeiros' PR in the 800 meter run.
