Ava Emery Breaks Women's Swim & Dive's 200 Fly School Record at the 2018 Regis Invite; Eagles Take Second Place

WESTON, Mass. – The Husson University women's swimming & diving team competed in the 2018 Regis Invitational at Regis Aquatics Center on Saturday afternoon, hosted by Regis College. The Eagles finished second with 99 points, while the Pride win with 274 points and Elms took third place with 78 points. 

THE RUNDOWN:

  • The quartet of Kayla Redman, Ashley Clark, Erin Aucoin and Maddie Wing combined to finish third in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:51.95.
  • The group of Ivana Radovanovic, Megan Johnston, Kelsey Poland and Ava Emery swam together to finish eighth in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 2:11.04.
  • Aucoin finished third in the 100 Fly (1:08.19) and the 1650 Free (20:17.55), second in the 50 Free (26.78), and won the 200 Free (2:05.65).
  • Zoe Mather placed seventh in the 100 Fly (1:27.07), 13th in the 50 Free (33.14), ninth in the 50 Fly (36.82), and fifth in the 200 Fly (3:28.06).
  • Redman took fourth in the 50 Breast (37.46), third in the 200 Breast (3:02.10), and second in the 100 Breast (1:20.11).
  • Poland was sixth in the 50 Breast (40.88), tenth in the 50 Free (31.16), fourth in the 200 Free (2:34.80), and seventh in the 100 Breast (1:34.73).
  • Radovanovic took second in the 200 Back (2:45.22), fourth in the 50 Back (35.25), and fifth in the 100 Back (1:14.98).
  • Wing finished third in the 100 IM (1:07.63), second in the 50 Back (33.13), and fourth in the 50 Fly (30.38) and the 100 Free (1:01.16).
  • Natalie Champagne was seventh in the 50 Back (43.64) and the 100 Back (1:34.83), and 13th in the 100 Free (1:22.34).
  • Emery placed fourth in the 200 IM (2:33.33), and won the 200 Fly by swimming pass Kaitlyn Theriault's nine year old school record with a 2:26.62.
  • Clark was sixth in the 200 IM (2:42.40) and the 50 Fly (31.86), and third in the 200 Fly (2:44.43).
  • Alyssa Patterson dived in her second intercollegiate meet and finished with 141.50 points in the 1-meter diving six-dive program.
  • Wing, Redmam, Emery, Aucoin combined to finish third in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:07.36.
  • Radovanovic, Poland, Mather, Champagne swam together to seventh in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:33.27.

NEXT!

The Green and Gold will return to the pool in 2019 for their home opener on January 12th against the Monks of Saint Joseph's College of Maine. The dual meet is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.
