ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Husson University junior Lara Sarett, who became the first Eagle swimmer to qualify for an evening final session in back-to-back Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Open Championships, competed on the final day of the 2017 Championship meet at the United States Naval Academy's Lejeune Hall on Sunday morning.
The meet featured swimming & diving programs from NCAA Division I, II and III.
Sarett posted a time of 2:31.19 in her preliminary swim of the 200 Breast, which was good for a 21st finish in the event.
The Eagles finished in 19th place overall with one point, while the U.S. Naval Academy took home this year's championship with 632.50 points. Bucknell University earned the runner-up plaque with 452 points and the University of Pennsylvania (434), University of Virginia (348.50) and Columbia University (346) round out the top five.
This concludes the 2016-17 campaign for the Husson University women's swimming & diving team.
