Eagles Beat Anchorwoman, 130-108; Extend Streak to Four

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Husson University Women's swimming & diving defeated Rhode Island College, 130-108 at the Chace Wellness Center on the Campus of Bryant University on Friday night for their fourth straight dual-meet win.

THE RUNDOWN:

  • The quartet of Megan Johnston, Lara Sarett, Ashley Clark and Amber Britton combined to finish 2nd in the 200 medley relay with a 2:09.92.
  • Kassidy Harris, Zoe Mather, Natalie Champagne and Madison Cole swam to finish 3rd in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:40.97.
  • Katrina Aman took 2nd in the 1000 free (14:32.44), and 4th in the 100 breast (1:36.26).
  • Macy Mansir finished 3rd in the 1000 free (15:05.87), and 5th in the 100 breast (1:49.48).
  • Clark placed 2nd in the 200 free (2:22.66) and the 50 fly (32.53).
  • Rachael Wheeler was 3rd in the 200 free (2:47.62) and 2nd in the 500 free (7:34.27).
  • Alexis Lower placed 4th in the 200 free (3:51.43), and 3rd in the 500 free (10:17.97).
  • Johnston finished 2nd in the 50 back (36.11), the 200 IM (3:10.77) and 3rd in the 100 back (1:27.30) and took 3rd in the 50 free (30.56).
  • Cole took 3rd in the 50 back (41.37) and 4th in the 100 black (1:30.10).
  • Champagne was 4th in the 50 back (43.27) and the 100 fly (1:42.74).
  • Sarett won the 50 breast (32.24), the 100 breast (1:10.50) and the 200 IM (2:30.85).
  • Harris finished 3rd in the 50 breast (39.40), and 2nd in the 100 black (1:21.10).
  • Mather placed 2nd in the 100 fly (1:27.42), 4th in the 100 breast (1:42.77), and the 50 fly (39.37).
  • Peabody won the 50 free (29.57), 2nd in the 100 free (1:05.77) and 3rd in the 50 fly (34.79).
  • Britton took 2nd in the 50 free (29.83) and 3rd in the 100 free (1:11.76).
  • Sarah Wilson placed 3rd in the 50 free (36.92), and swam exhibition in the 100 free (1:26.94).
  • Brittany Gaudet swam exhibition in 50 free (38.54) and finished 4th in the 100 free (1:32.32).
  • Britton, Peabody, Clark and Harris swam together to finish 2nd in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:57.75.
  • The quartet of Cole, Gaudet, Wilson and Aman finished 3rd in the 200 free relay with a time of 2:26.15.

Husson will return to the pool on Saturday, January 23 at 1:00 p.m. when they host Saint Joseph's College of Maine. The Eagles have plans to honor the program's only senior Katrina Aman.
