Klopp and Benner Swim Well Despite Loss to St. Joe's

Standish, ME - Husson University women's swimming and diving fell to St. Joseph's College in a dual meet on the road on Saturday. The Monks defeated the Eagles 151-96.

Kayleigh Richardson (Kensington, NH) won the women's 100 butterfly with a time of 1:19.16 for Husson. Sarah Klopp (Cape Elizabeth, ME) won the 50 free in 27.83, and she also won the 50 butterfly with a time of 30.95. The Eagles' Erin Benner (Morrow, OH) claimed first in the 200 backstroke with a 2:32.80, and she also won the 200 yard IM in 2:37.09.

The Husson team of Klopp, Katrina Aman (Lakeville, MA), Kaileigh Lenentine (Sidney, ME), and Richardson took second in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:03.95.

Husson will next compete in the NEISDA Championships at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston from February 13 through 15.
