Bangor, ME - Sarah Klopp (Cape Elizabeth, ME) won the 50-Free in 27.26 seconds and the 50-Butterfly in 30.00 seconds to pace Husson women's swimming and diving in their first home meet of the season against St. Joseph's College (ME) on Saturday. Klopp, who already qualified for Division III New Englands in the 50-Butterfly, qualified in the 50-Free with her fast time on the day.
The Monks won the meet, 148-99.
Klopp also swam on the winning 200-Free Relay with Erin Benner (Morrow, OH), Katrina Aman (Lakeville, MA), and Amber Britton (Manchester, NH). Benner had a fantastic day for the Eagles, as well, winning the 50-Back in 32.79 and the 100-Back in 1:11.25.
The Monks recorded nine total victories on the afternoon, as junior Brooke Huberdeau (North Andover, Mass.) helped lead the way with first-place finishes in the 200-Free (2:14.68) and 100-Free (1:03.06) while junior Anne Fougere (Warner, N.H.) earned wins in the 50-Breast (36.16), 100-Breast (1:19.95).
Husson will be back in action when the team travels to the University of New England on November 15.
