Eagles Edged by Anchorwomen, 126-95

Smithfield, R.I. – Husson women's swimming & diving fell to Rhode Island College on Friday night by a final score of 126-95.

Senior Sophie Kanno posted a trio of first-place finishes, while junior Katherine Landry, freshman Jaclyn Pringle, and freshman Rachel Soria all added a pair of first-place finishes each to lead the Rhode Island College women's swimming team to a victory over Husson University at Bryant University's Chace Center Pool on Friday night.

Freshman Kay Mauzerolle (East Waterboro, ME) earned first place in the 100 breaststroke (1:24.63) to go along with a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (3:06.39) to pace the visiting Eagles.

Senior Casey Pray (Bangor, ME) finished first in the 50 freestyle (28.11) and third in the 100 freestyle (1:09.05) for Husson, while sophomore Katrina Aman (Lakeville, MA) placed second in both the 500 freestyle (6:58.75) and the 1,000 freestyle (14:17.97).

The Eagles will host their final meet of the 2013-2014 season next Saturday, January 25th against Saint Joseph's College of Maine at 12:00 PM.
