Swimming & Diving Falls to Rhode Island College; Bosse Sets Two School Records

Bangor, ME - Husson University swimming & diving fell to Rhode Island College, 156-96. Martina Bosse (Brewer, ME) set two new school records in the 1 meter diving and qualified for the NEISDA Diving Championships.

"I am very happy to see Martina dive so well and set 2 school records as well as qualifying for New England's. We were short handed today but had many best times as we prepared for New England's. Megan Call (Levant, ME), Kayleigh Richardson (Kensington, NH), and Cilana Cuthbert (West Newfield, NH) also had great races," said Head Coach Butch Babin after the meet.

Bosse broke the school record in the 1 Meter Dive (6 dives) today that she had previously set at 187.55 with a score of 191.55. The other school record she broke was also in the 1 Meter Dive (5 dives), setting a new record score of 152.90, which she had previously set at 143.90. With today's diving scores and her dive score from the GNAC Championships she officially qualifies for New England's.

Husson's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Richardson, Cuthbert, Sarah Klopp and Katrina Aman came in first in that event with a time of 1:59.80.

Husson will host University of Maine at Machias next Saturday, January 26 at 1:00 PM. Before that meet the team will honor their two seniors, Megan Call and Heather Mann.
