Swimming & Diving Falls to Saint Joseph’s

Standish, ME – Husson University Swimming & Diving fell to Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday afternoon, 158-52.

Husson's Cilana Cuthbert (West Newfield, NH) came in 3rd in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 30.72, just edged out for 2nd place by Kiani Camire of SJC. Cuthbert also placed 4th in the 100 yard freestyle 28 tenths of a second behind third with a time of 1:07.88.

Katrina Aman (Lakeville, MA) came in 2nd for the Eagles in the women's 500 yard freestyle, edged out by Allie Krasco for the Monks.  Aman placed first for the Eagles in the women's 1000 yard freestyle.

Alison Cuddahy won the women's 100 yard backstroke for Saint Joe's winning by a narrow margin over Husson's Patience Wilson (Brewer, ME).

In the womens' 200 yard medley relay Wilson and Cuthbert put in the best laps for the Eagles, swimming to 33.50 and 30.48 second times respectively. The relay team placed second.

Husson will face Rhode Island College at home next Saturday, January 19 at 1:00 PM.  The Eagles have been very successful at home this season, going undefeated in every meet at Webber Pool.
