JOHNSON, Vt. - Husson women's soccer (2-7-0, 2-1-0 NAC) flourished on Saturday afternoon, dominating the attack as they shut down the Northern Vermont University-Johnson Badgers, 6-0, in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play.
The Eagles took a commanding 4-0 lead over the Badgers (5-6-0, 1-3-0 NAC) by the 24th minute of the match with Joan Overman knocking in a pair of her own to advance into halftime. Putting the first points on the scoreboard, both Kathryn McGinnis who scored in the 9th minute, and Bri Saulter who found the back of the net five minutes later, recorded their first goals of the season.
To close out the scoring, Mackenzie St. Pierre recorded her second goal of the season while Alyssa Driscoll finished her first collegiate goal, scoring the final tally in the 78th minute of the match to help Husson earn a 6-0 victory.

With the win, Sami Ireland recorded her second NAC shutout of the season while stopping one shot to preserve the victory. On the other end of the field, Kaitlin Boucher was rocked with shots from the Eagles, turning away a total of 12 shots.
Husson held the advantage in overall shots, 29-3, while NVU-Johnson achieved the opportunity on the attack in corner kicks, 5-1.
Women's soccer will return home from Vermont for a match against Bowdoin at Boucher Field on Sunday, September 30th with kickoff at 1 p.m.
