BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's soccer team fell to University of Maine at Fort Kent on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at Boucher Field. The Bengals won the 6-0
Catherine Bruno put Maine-Fort Kent (15-0-0) on the board in the 16th minute of the game with an assist from Sherifatu Sumaila. The Bengals extended their lead 3-0 to going into the intermission with goals from Sumailia at 21:45 and Bruno (Sumaila) at 37:18.
A Husson (6-7-1) own goal in the 47th minute made the game 4-0 before Sumaila scored her 2nd of game at 61:03 from Peighton Ahlberg and Marie-Laurence Monts at 69:50 with an assist by Kendra Freund closed out the scoring in the game.
Ahlberg played the first 77:54 in net for the Bengals, giving way to Valentina Green who played the remaining 12:06 of the game. Ahlberg had one save.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 when they host Castleton for a 12:00 p.m. North Atlantic Conference game. The Bengals will travel to Maine-Machas for a 2:00 p.m. USCAA game on Tuesday.
