Women's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Game to Bates

BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's soccer team fell to Bates College on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at Boucher Field. The Bobcats won the game 4-0.

Cassidy McCarns put Bates (3-8-1) on the board 7:28 into the game with an assist from Hannah Behringer. The Bobcats extended their lead to 3-0 going into intermission with goals from Behringer at 10:26 and Torri Pelletier at 22:58. Olivia Amdur assisted on both goals.

McCarns scored the final tally of the game in the 80th minute.

Kayla Gordon started in goal for Husson (6-6) and tallied four saves before Angela Daigle stopped two shots in the second half.

Sarah McCarthy played the first 59 minutes in net for the Bobcats, giving way to Allegra Sacco who played the remaining 30 minutes of the game. Sacco had three saves.

Mollie Roy, Hannah Clough and Taylor Fortin each had two shots for the Eagles.

The Eagles return to action on Saturday, Sept. 24 when they travel to New England College for a 12:00 p.m. North Atlantic Conference game. The Bobcats will host Thomas (Maine) on Thursday for their final home match of 2016. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
