BANGOR, Maine - Allison Carey broke open a scoreless draw in the 22nd minute to record her first intercollegiate goal to help Husson earn a 4-0 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win over the Thomas College Terriers Tuesday evening at Boucher Field.
The Eagles' wasted little time doubling their lead, scoring their second goal of the game in the 68th minute as Hibbad found the back of the net for her 30th career goal off an assist from Taylor Fortin. Hannah Clough scored the final two goals on the night for the Eagles in the 81st minute and the 89th minute off assists from Roy and Hibbad.
Husson outshot the Terriers 47-6, the fifth most shots Husson has recorded in a single game and the most in a NAC game since 2009. The Eagles also held an 11-2 edge in corner kicks.
Angela Daigle made three saves to earn her first career shutout and win, while Paige Leary made 19 saves in the loss for Thomas (1-7-0, 1-2-0 NAC).
Clough led the Eagles with a career high 17 shots (nine on goal), while Hibbad registered 11.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday when they travel to Vermont to face Johnson State in a 3:30 p.m. NAC game.
