FARMINGTON, Maine -- Husson University used a five-goal second-half flurry to pull away from the University of Maine at Farmington for a 13-8 victory in North Atlantic Conference East Division women's lacrosse action today at Prescott Field

The Beavers (1-7, 0-3) are scheduled to host Thomas College Wednesday at 4 p.m. The Eagles (6-5, 4-1) are scheduled to visit Thomas Monday at 4 p.m.

Stephanie Eaton (Pittston, Maine) powered Husson with five goals and a pair of helpers, while Caitlyn Stauffer (Brookfield, Conn.) collected a hat trick, Megan Clement (Brunswick, Maine) added two goals and an assist and Kim Gambon (Walpole, Mass.) provided a goal and an assist.

Miranda Levesque (Sanford, Maine) and Aimee St. Germain (Gorham, Maine) each notched a hat trick for UMF with Emma Morrison (Saco, Maine) and Alyssa Neptune (Readfield, Maine) scoring a goal apiece and Hillary Morrison (Camden, Maine) doling out two assists. St. Germain scooped seven ground balls in the loss.

Hannah Goodenow (Freeport, Maine) stopped 21 shots for the Beavers. Husson fired off 50 shots to UMF's 20.

Kaleigh Morneau (Twin Mountain, N.H.) recorded seven saves for the Eagles

Clement, Eaton and Stauffer each netted two goals and the Husson defense held the Beavers scoreless for nearly 18 minutes as the Eagles took a 7-2 lead in the opening half on their way to a 7-3 intermission advantage.

The Beavers chiseled Husson's lead down over the first 8:30 of the second half with a St. Germain unassisted tally making it 8-6. Guided by Eaton's three tallies, Husson reeled off the game's next five goals for a 13-6 command with 10:16 to play to pull away for the 13-8 win.
