Women's Golf Finishes Third at the 3rd Annual NEIGA Championship; Goulet Earns Program's First All-New England Honor

BREWESTER, Mass. - The Husson University women's golf team competed at the 3rd Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass. The Eagles finished in 3rd place with a two-day score of 803 (408-395).

Katie Goulet made program history as she became the first Eagle to earn All-England with her sixth place finish with a 184 (91-93). Veronica Diaz (109-97) and Makenzie Plourde (107-99) tied for 11th with a score of 206. Taylor Burbo carded a 210 (104-106) and Tori Jones scored a 213 (106-107) to finish in 14th and 15th, respectively.

Assumption College wins the Women's NEIGA Championship while Suffolk University wins the Women's Division III title.

For the third time in as many tries, the Women's Overall Medalist is Catherine French of Assumption College who won on the second playoff hole with a birdie over American International College's Rocio Bausa. French shot a two day total of 166 (86-80).

Aine Dillon of Suffolk University was the Division III Medalist with a two-day total of 176 (89-87), one stroke better than Rhode Island College's Megan Mahan.

The Eagles will return to the links in the Spring of 2019.
