LEEDS, Maine - The Husson University women's golf team competed in the 2016 Maine Intercollegiate Golf Association (MEIGA) Championship at the Springbrook Golf Club over the weekend. The Eagles finished 3rd with a total score of 870.
Husson was paced by Rachel Vanadestine who shot a two-day total of 188 (91-97) earning a seventh place finish. Tori Jordan finished 11th with a score of 199 (106-93). Taylor Burbo placed 12th with a 222 (109-113.) Tia Welch shot a 261 (138-123) and finished 13th to round out the scoring for the Eagles.
Bowdoin won the State of Maine Intercollegiate Championship with a two-day total of 680, followed by Bates with a 764. Caroline Farber from Bowdoin took home the Individual State of Maine Intercollegiate Championship honors after shooting a 148.
The Eagles return to the course this coming weekend when they travel to South Hadley, Mass. for the Mt. Holyoke Invitational being held at The Orchards Golf Club.
