  • Women's and Men's Basketball Continue to Earn Recognition on Honor Rolls

    BANGOR, Maine - Two women's basketball players earn their first nods by the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) this season by being recognized on the Honor Roll for their achievements this past week on the hardwood. Brett Cunningham grabs a spot on the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Honor Roll for the third consecutive week and fourth overall in his rookie season.
  • Women's Basketball Raising Awareness for Pediatric Cancer This Weekend

    BANGOR, Maine - The Husson women's basketball team will be wearing black socks with yellow ribbons during their game against SUNY Canton on Friday night (January 18th) to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer. A percentage of their purchase for the socks was donated to the Go 4 the Goal cause which is a program put together with the mission of making a difference in children's lives who are battling cancer.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Sophomore forward/center Megan Peach was awarded her first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week for her successes this past week. This marks the fourth-straight NAC Player of the Week recognition for the Husson women's basketball program this season.

    GORHAM, Maine – A second quarter rally for the Husson women’s basketball team (9-6) completely turned the game around as they grasped a steady lead up to the final seconds when the Southern Maine Huskies (9-4) nearly made a last second comeback, but the Eagles stood strong defensively and captured the 65-62 non-conference victory on Monday night. 
  • Eagles Battle to 47-38 Victory over Maine Maritime

    BANGOR, Maine -The Husson University Eagles (8-6, 5-0 NAC) captured the fans’ attention as they battled neck-and-neck with the Maine Maritime Mariners (9-4, 4-1 NAC) in Newman Gym up to the final minutes before capturing their fifth-straight North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory with a 47-38 win.

    BANGOR, Maine - For the first time this season, two men' basketball players have earned spots on the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Honor Roll and two women's basketball players on the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Honor Roll in the same week following a pair of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victories for both teams to improve their conference records to 4-0.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Husson women's basketball sweeps weekly awards for the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) and Justin Martin grabs NAC Player of the Week for his first time this season after both teams picked up two conference wins this past week. Kenzie Worcester achieves her fifth NAC Player of the Week this season while Vanessa Duarte is awarded her second NAC Rookie of the Week accolade.

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine –It was a team effort win for the Husson women’s basketball team as six players netted double-digits against the University of Maine at Presque Isle (5-6, 1-3 NAC) to improve their record to 4-0 in the North Atlantic Conference and 7-5 overall. The Eagles grabbed their second win of the weekend over the Owls with a final score of 89-30 at Wieden Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Led by Kenzie Worcester and Logan Huckins, the Husson University women’s basketball team (5-5) upset No. 8-ranked University of Chicago (9-2) in the Music City Classic hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University, 64-59, on Sunday afternoon. This marks the first win over a nationally ranked team for the Eagles since joining the NCAA.

    BEVERLY, Mass. - Despite a career-shattering game for Kenzie Worcester dominating the hardwood as she led a rally for the Eagles with a whopping 26 points in the second half, the Husson women's basketball (3-4) team fell just shy of a comeback by one basket, 60-57, to Endicott College (4-4) on Wednesday evening in a non-conference game.

    BANGOR, Maine - Three exceptional student-athletes were acknowledged for their achievements on the hardwood this past week as both Justin Martin and Brett Cunningham earned a spot on the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) weekly Honor Roll and for women's basketball, Kenzie Worcester grabbed a spot on the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Honor Roll. This marks the third recognition for Worcester to the MWBCA Honor Roll this season, second time for Martin on the MMBCWA Honor Roll and first time for Cunningham.

    BANGOR, Maine – The Husson Eagles (1-2) dropped a heartbreaker to the Colby College Mules (3-1) on Wednesday night, 85-78, battling them into the first triple overtime game in program history. Senior Kenzie Worcester became the third Husson women’s basketball player to score 1,400 career points after her 29-point performance against the Mules.
