Nine female student-athletes are up for the prestigious award which encompasses all facets of the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete experience.

Simpson is a 6-0, forward from Dover-Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, while Alley is a guard from Stearns High School in Milliknocket, Maine.

    MEDFORD, Mass. – Led by Chandler Guerrette with a whopping 28 points, the Husson Eagles outplayed the DeSales Bulldogs in the second half on Friday night to capture a first round NCAA Tournament victory. This was the first time that Husson won a game in the NCAA Tournament since joining in 2004 and also marked the Eagles' first national tournament win since 1993.

The Husson (17-3) women ended up falling 65-96 to Bowdoin College (18-3). Bowdoin is ranked 20th in the nation.
