BANGOR, Maine - After four years as Husson University's head softball coach and Director of Compliance, Terren Allen will be stepping down from her multiple roles with the Eagles after recently accepting a position with Colby College as the head softball coach.
"We appreciate Terren's dedication and commitment to Husson softball and wish her the very best in her new position at Colby," stated Director of Athletics Frank Pergolizzi.
North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Coach of the Year the past two years, Allen compiled a 94-66 (.588) overall record with two NAC Championships and three NAC Regular Season titles. Her teams won 20 games or more in three of her four seasons, including two seasons with 25 victories or more.
The Eagles made a huge NCAA DIII Tournament appearance in 2015 as the #2 seed and became the first team in program history to win two tournament games en-route to reaching the program's first ever regional championship game, finishing as the runner-up.
"It has been an amazing opportunity to have worked at Husson University and I cannot thank the faculty, staff, and athletic department enough for their support and guidance during my four years," said Terren Allen. "I will cherish my time here working with the players who I have had the opportunity to coach and wish them the very best as they continue their careers both on and off the field. The legacy of Husson Softball is strong and I know the players and program will continue to have great success."
Under Allen's leadership, her players earned 18 All-Conference and two NFCA All-New England selections, while coaching one Conference Player of the Year, one Conference Rookie of the Year, two conference Pitchers of the Year, and one Conference Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Husson will launch a national search immediately.
