  • Jones, Hoople, and Hathaway Earn NAC Weekly Awards

    WATERVILLE, Maine. - Husson had the honor of three athletes achieving North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Weekly Awards this past week. Jen Jones claimed NAC Pitcher of the Week for the second week in a row, while Brooke Hoople took NAC Track Athlete of the Week and Eric Hathaway Rookie of the Week in outdoor track & field both for the third time this season.

    DANBURY, Conn. - Women and men's outdoor track & field along with softball all picked up an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Weekly Honor this past week. For the women, Jen Jones earned Pitcher of the Week and Brooke Hoople Track Athlete of the Week for their first time this season. For the men, Eric Hathaway walked away with Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.

    WATERVILLE, Maine - Husson sophomore pitcher/outfielder Olivia Smith has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Softball Player of the Week for the first time this season and freshman pitcher/outfielder/first baseman Jen Jones has been named the NAC Softball Pitcher and Rookie of the Week for the first time this season, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
  • Softball Sweeps Doubleheader with Thomas, 4-3, 10-0

    BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University softball team (18-8) swept their home doubleheader with Thomas (Maine) (3-15) on Friday afternoon. The Eagles won the first game of the doubleheader by a score of 4-3 in 8 innings and the second with a 10-0 win in 5 innings. Thomas was the home team due to weather cancellations.

    BANGOR, Maine - The Eagles' softball team will no longer be traveling to Thomas (Maine) on Friday, April 14th, but instead will be hosting Thomas (Maine) on their home field at 3pm and 5pm. The Terriers will still be playing as the home team for both games.

    BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University softball team (16-8) swept their home doubleheader with Maine-Farmington (2-14) on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles won the first game of the doubleheader by a score of 1-0 and the second with a 8-0 win. It was this year’s first games on O’Keefe Field.

    BANGOR, Maine – The Eagles swept the Falcons at home on Saturday capturing an 8-3 victory in the first game of the doubleheader, followed by a 7-0 shutout. The games were played on a more unfamiliar surface since the softball field is still recovering from all of the snow and rain, the women competed on Boucher Field where soccer and lacrosse typically play.

    WATEVILLE, Maine - The Husson University softball team dropped both games of their non-conference doubleheader with Bowdoin College on Firday night at the Colby Softball Complex. The Eagles fell to the Polar Bears in game one, 2-1, and the night cap, 8-5.

Freshman Tamara Aunchman impressively achieved ECAC New England Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for softball while freshman Eric Hathaway also earned ECAC New England Rookie of the Week for men's outdoor track & field.

Husson softball recorded their first winning spring break trip down in Florida in 21 years (9-5), accumulating the most wins since 1995.
