    NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Husson University men's and women's cross country teams have been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2017 Division III All-Academic Men's and Women's Cross Country teams.

    GORHAM, Maine – The Husson men’s cross country team closed out their 2017 season on Saturday after competing at the NCAA DIII Northeast Regional Championship hosted at the Gorham Country Club. With a total of 55 teams contending including 370 student-athletes, the men returned home with 49th place. Seven Eagles raced in the 8k on the brisk afternoon.

    WATERVILLE, Maine – Husson University freshman Zach Hartman collected All-Conference honors by virtue of a top-15 finish in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Cross Country Championship, which was held at the University of Maine-Farmington, on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Patrick Welch was selected to the Sportsmanship Team, an award voted on by conference head coaches, the league announced Wednesday morning.

The Husson men returned home with 9th place overall at the meet, competing against eleven other teams including nationally ranked Bates College.

Freshman Zach Hartman once again led the pack, finishing 43rd in the 8k in 29:53, as the Eagles walked away with 7th place overall at the meet.

    FREDERICTON, New Brunswick – The Husson men’s and women’s cross country teams journeyed up to Canada for the second consecutive year to compete in the RSEQ AUS Interlock Meet at the University of New Brunswick. The men pushed through the humidity walking away with 7th place after running a full 8k for the first time competitively while racing against two of the top 15 teams in Canada, Dalhousie and St. Francis Xavier, taking first and second.
