    WATERVILLE, Maine –The Thomas College men's soccer team scored twice in the first 16 minutes to take a 2-1 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Semifinal win over Husson University on an eventful stormy evening of action playing on two different fields at two different universities, after an unfortunate power outage occurred in the middle of the game.

    BANGOR, Maine -The No. 3 seeded Husson University men’s soccer team (8-8-3, 5-1-1 NAC) will advance to the North Atlantic Conference Semifinals after beating the No. 6 seeded University of Maine at Farmington, 2-1, in the NAC Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon at Boucher Field.

    GORHAM, Maine – Holding on to a 1-0 advantage for nearly 75 minutes of the game on Tuesday night, the Eagles were 70 seconds away from earning the shutout, but the University of Southern Maine Huskies (2-12-2, 1-5-1 LEC) found the back of the net just in time to push the match into extra minutes at Hannaford Field. After 20 minutes of overtime, the score remained at a 1-1 draw to conclude the regular season for Husson with an overall record of 7-8-3 (5-1-1 NAC).

Nathan Firlings displayed an incredible offensive performance earning Player of the Week while Bryce Hayman swiped Rookie of the Week for his first time. 
  • Second Half Push Helps Men’s Soccer Shut Down Hornets on Senior Day

    BANGOR, Maine – Keeping Northern Vermont University-Lyndon at bay throughout the first half, the Husson men’s soccer team certainly found their groove in the second half tucking away three goals to lift themselves over the Hornets, 3-0, for a shutout conference victory on senior day and homecoming. Stepping foot onto Boucher Field for the last regular season matchup on Saturday afternoon, Husson recognized five Eagles, including Paxton Oversmith, Dylan Bryce, Ian Lee, Nick Whitehead, and Rod Ghanayem.

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine –Making their first trip to the University of Maine at Presque Isle since 2006 and competing for the first time in 11 years, the Husson men’s soccer team came out on top in the battle of the birds, 4-0. With this North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win, Husson improves their conference record to 4-1-1 after taking on the Owls in a conference match for the first time since 2002.

Despite an incredible save in net for the Eagles by Kyle Townsend off a penalty kick in the 88th minute, the Hawks came out on top with a final score of 2-1 at Bayside Field.
