Dillon Shaw enters his fourth season as the faceoff specialists coach with the Husson men's lacrosse team in 2019.
Since rejoining the program prior to the 2016 season, Shaw has helped guide the Eagles to three straight postseason appearances, while coaching ten All-Conference, six Conference All-Tournament, nine Conference All-Academic, one ECAC All-New England, one NEILA Senior East/West All-Star Game, two NEILA All-Academic, three Conference All-Sportsmanship selections.
Prior to joining the coaching staff, Shaw was a two-sport athlete at Husson, earning four letters as a member of men's lacrosse team (2010-13) as a faceoff specialists and three letters in football (2009-11) as a linebacker.
In lacrosse, the two time All-Conference selection scored 36 goals, tallied 32 assists for 68 points off 219 shots with one game-winning goal, 343 ground balls and casued 22 turnovers in 73 career games played. Inside the faceoff circle, Shaw won 474 of his 799 faceoffs, a .593 winning percentage, the second best career mark in program history. His 474 victories and 343 ground balls are the most in program history.
Shaw ranks among the career leaders in games played, games started (50), goals, assists, points, shots, shots per game (3.00), shots on goal (116), shots on goal per game (1.59), shots on goal percentage (.530), ground balls per game (4.70), turnovers (84), turnovers per game (1.15), penalties (28), penalty minutes (29.0), and game winning goals.
As a junior, the Inside Lacrosse Pre-Season All-American set the single-season records for ground balls (133) and ground balls per game (6.65), which both were broken by All-Ameican James Seager in 2015 and Face-Off Wins (212).
In football, Shaw registered 110 (55-55) tackles, an average of 3.8 tackles per game, 1.5 sacks, 5.5 tackles of loss, a force fumble, three fumble recoveries in 29 career games played.
Shaw earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Husson in 2013.
A native of Augusta, Maine, Shaw attended Cony High School.
