Bangor, ME - Husson lacrosse won its first game of of 2014 Saturday in the team's first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest of of the season. Husson tallied five goals on the afternoon in a 5-3 effort. Marsh Gray earned his first victory in his tenure as head coach.
Brandon Corbo put the Eagles up 2-0 in the first half, scoring goals with just a few ticks left in the first quarter on the Vinny Visconti helper and again halfway through the second frame on a pass from James Seager.
Husson two-goal lead was short lived entering the third quarter, as Adam Peeler created a nice opportunity for himself to cut the lead to 2-1 just 36 seconds into the second half.
Jack White answered moments later for the Eagles, giving Husson a 3-1 leading, collecting from Corbo for the score. Husson furthered their lead almost five minutes later when Nolan Brown tucked away his first goal of the day unassisted to go up 4-1.
Richard Aberle Jr. made the game 4-2 in the final two minutes for Lyndon, taking a pass from Billy Bazyk to set up an intense fourth quarter.
White scored on his own for Husson just two minutes into the final quarter to push the Eagles lead to 5-2 and secure the win.
Aberle and Bazyk added another notch moment later, to no avail, to give the game its final score of 5-3.
The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday, March 25th at Boucher Field. Husson will battle Thomas College in another NAC contest at 4:00pm.
