BANGOR, Maine - The next top moment from the 2017-18 Husson University athletic season is the entirety of the 2017-18 men's golf season.
The Eagles started off the year strong by completing an undefeated fall season including their win at the North Atlantic Conference championship and their first ever overall championship and their sixth title in program history after winning the 2017 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship. Daulton Wickenden won the event and became the first golfer in program history to earn three All-New England honors in their collegiate career. The NEIGA victory capped off the Eagles' first undefeated fall season in eight years.
Coach Mike Dugas was named Coach of the Year, Gavin Dugas was named Player of the Year, and Eric Dugas was named Rookie of the Year. Both Dugas' brothers as well as Taylor Morang, Daulton Wickenden, and Mackenzie Clow were named to the All-Conference Team.
The North Atlantic Conference champions continued their strong season in the spring. The men received top 25 votes while being voted as high as fourth in their region, after winning two more events. Eric Dugas finished the season at the Division III NCAA Championship as he finished tied for 12th and tied the best individual finish in program history. E. Dugas was also named to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Division III PING All-American to the Honorable Mention team.
