Clow Leads Men's Golf to Tie for 4th at Westport Hampton Inn Spring Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – After two days of competition at the Allendale Country Club for the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invite, the Husson men's golf team came away tying for 4th place with Middlebury College, ending with a cumulative score of 623.

Concluding the first day of action on Friday, the Eagles were one swing away from third place with a score of 307. Mackenzie Clow was leading the team tied a student-athlete from Tufts University for 3rd. Despite adding on three strokes to his game on Saturday (76) after shooting just one over par his first day, Clow finished strong, taking 2nd out of all the competitors from 18 different schools. His combined score was a 149.

Taylor Morang and Gavin Dugas were neck-and-neck, shooting a 154 and 155. Morang tied for 8th at invite while G. Dugas was vying for 12th. Eric Dugas was within a couple strokes of his brother of day one, but dropped behind by a couple more on day two to finish with an overall score of 165. Hunter Flynn was the final Eagle to compete for Husson, improving on Saturday by two strokes to shoot a 178 between both rounds.

Next weekend, the Eagles will journey to Rhode Island for the Wildcat Spring Invitational at the Cranston Country Club on April 21-22.
