Gavin Dugas Leads Men's Golf with 72 Card on Day 1 of the 2017 NCAA Championship

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Husson's Gavin Dugas sits tied for 10th after day one of the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, hosted by Oglethorpe University and Central Florida Sports Commission, at the Mission Inn Resort & Club.

Dugas shot an even par 72 on the day as the Eagles finished the day tied for 30th place overall with a team score of 323.

Other Eagles who scored on the day were Daulton Wickenden, who sits tied for 123rd with a round of 80. Taylor Morang finished the day tied for 176th after shooting an 85, Mackenzie Clow sits in 11-way tie for 186th with an 86, while Tyler Swarhout shot a 90 good enough for a eight-way tie for 207th.

Addison Lambeth from Huntingdon holds a 1-stroke lead after carding a three-under 69 and the top-ranked Huntingdon rode an outstanding 5-over-par 293 to the 18-hole lead.
