Men's Golf Holds Five-Stroke Lead After Day One of USM Fall Classic

GORHAM, Maine - Husson's Daulton Wickenden sits atop the leaderboard after day one of the 2016 USM Fall Classic, hosted by University of Southern Maine, at the Gorham Country Club in Gorham, Maine.

Wickenden shot a 35 on the day, one stroke under par as the Eagles lead after day one with a team score of 145, followed by Southern Maine (150) and Bowdoin (157).

Other Eagles who scored on the day were Mackenzie Clow, who sits 4th with a score of 36, Taylor Morang and Philip Thome both sit tied for 5th with a score of 37 and Taylor Swarthout sits tied for 23rd with a score of 40.

Round one was cut short due to the weather.

Day two of the USM Fall Classic will tee off bright and early Monday, October 9, at 11 a.m. at the Gorham Country Club.
