Men's Golf Wins the 2016 Husson Invitational

BANGOR, Maine – Taylor Morang took home co-medalist honors with Jackson Mitchell of Mass.-Dartmouth after shooting a two-day total of 147 (74-73) to help Husson A Team win the 2016 Husson Invitational at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course over the weekend.

Philip Thome tied for third, earning him his career-best finish after shooting a career-low 150 (76-74). Daulton Wickenden tied for sixth with a score of 151 (74-77). Tyler Swarthout shot a 153 (75-78) earning him career best finish of tied for tenth place. Mackenzie Clow finished tied for 14th after shooting a 156 (77-79) to round out the scoring for the Eagles A team.

Tyler Williams tied for 18th with a score of 158 (78-80). Ross Delorenzo shot a 170 (85-85) which was good for 37th. Bailey Nagle finished tied for 42nd after shooting a 176 (90-86). Tommy Favreau shot a 177 (87-90) and finished 44th, while Steve Mahon shot a two-day total of 181 (89-92) to place 46th to round out the scoring for the Eagles B team.

Nick Burge and Devin Stewart played as individuals. Stewart finished 45th with a score of 178 (89-89) and Burge tied for 42nd with a 176 (91-85).   

Husson A Team won the team title with a two-day total of 601 (299-302), followed by Endicott with a 606 (302-304) and Mass.-Dartmouth with a 619 (312-307). The Eagles B team finished ninth with a score of 680 (339-341).

The Eagles return to the course on October 9-10 at the University of Southern Maine Fall Classic at the Gorham Country Club in Gorham, Maine.
