LEEDS, Maine – Daulton Wickenden shot a career-low two-day total of 136 (67-69) and finished with a career-best six-under par overall, earning the Individual State of Maine Intercollegiate Championship at the 2016 Maine Intercollegiate Golf Association (MEIGA) Championship at the Springbrook Golf Club in Leeds, Maine over the weekend. The Eagles finished as runner-up for the second straight season with a score of 606 (303-303).
Taylor Morang shot a career-low 71 on the final day to finish with a career-best 145 (74-71), earning him a third place overall finish. Tyler Williams tied for 26th with a score of 161 (81-80). Mackenzie Clow shot a 164 (81-83) and tied for 31st. Chad Prince finished 41st after shooting a 172 (84-88) to round the scoring for the Eagles.
Saint Joseph's (Maine) won the title with a two-day total of 604 (307-294), followed by Husson and Southern Maine.
The Eagles will return to the course on September 24 when they host the Husson Invitational at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course during homecoming weekend.
