Victor Wilson From Alabama Commits to Men's Basketball Program for 2018-19 Season

BANGOR, Maine - Husson men's basketball received a commitment from Victor Wilson, a 6-0 guard from Munford, Ala. It is the first student athlete from Alabama for the men's basketball program and the 6th commitment in the 2018 recruiting class.   

Wilson is a shooting guard who played for coach Ralpheal Graves at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Wilson helped lead the team to a 23-10 record and their 4th straight Class 1A State Championship in Alabama. He averaged 11.4 points, 2.2 assists, and 3.3 rebounds, while connecting on 104 3-pointers at 46%. Wilson was named 1st Team All-Area and 1st Team All County. He was also named to the Hoopsgiving Classic All Tournament Team.

"Victor is a shooter, a tough hard nose player" says head coach Warren Caruso.  "Victor plays both ends of the floor and isn't afraid to get dirty. We are excited to add to our geographically diversity in this year's class".  

Wilson joins Justice Kendall (Scotland Campus), Isiah Hart (Federal Way HS),  Brett Cunningham (Harrah HS), Ian McIntyre (Hampden Academy) and Trey Sibert (Tampa Prep) in the Eagles 2018 recruiting class.  

The Eagles finished the year 19-7 and NAC regular season Co-Champions. The 19-7 record snapped a five year streak of 20+ wins. The Eagles have appeared in six out of the last 10 NCAA National Tournament.
