Brett Cunningham from Oklahoma Announces Commitment to Men's Basketball for 2018-19 Season
The Husson men's basketball program received another commitment this week. Brett Cunningham will be the first student-athlete from Oklahoma to play for the Eagles.

Cunningham is a 6-5 forward from Harrah High School where he played for coach Chad Rochelle. He led the team in scoring and rebounding this year with 19 points and 9.5 rebounds. Cunningham shot 49% from the field, 37% from the 3, and 79% from the foul line while chipping in 3.1 assists per game. He registered over 1,500 career points over his four year career. This year he was selected to the Oklahoma Large School All State Team, The Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association All Star Team, The Daily Oklahoman Little All City Team, and was selected to the North Canadian River Valley All Conference Team.

Cunningham played AAU for PWP in Oklahoma under the guidance of Jermaine Simpson and Kermit Holmes.

"Brett is a very complete player. He scores with great efficiency and sees the floor to find open guys very well" says head coach Warren Caruso.  "We feel Brett is a good fit for our ball screen and spread floor offense. He also plays with a high IQ at both ends".

Cunningham joins Ian McIntyre (Hampden Academy) and Trey Sibert (Tampa Prep) in the Eagles 2018 recruiting class.

The Eagles finished the year 19-7 and NAC regular season Co-Champions.  The 19-7 snap a 5 year streak of 20+ win season as well as two straight trips to the NCAAs.  The Eagles have appeared in 6 out of the last 10 NCAA National Tournament.
