Maine Guard Commits to Husson

Bangor, ME - Jordan Holmes a 6-foot guard from Messalonskee High School has committed to play for the Eagles next year. Holmes helped lead his team to a 13-6 record and a #4 seed in the Eastern Maine Tournament.

Holmes averaged 16.1 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. "Jordan plays with good intensity and really gets after things. He is a lefty shooter who plays with a high motor," says veteran head coach Warren Caruso.

Holmes was recognized by the KVAC as a 1st selection as a junior and a 2nd team selection as a senior. He was selected as a member of the East A-B McDonalds All-Star team.  Holmes is also a member of the lacrosse team that is currently 9-3 and the #2 seed in Eastern Maine.

Husson men's basketball has already announced the addition of Connor Adams a center from Bangor High School, Aseim King a guard from Crosby High School (Waterbury, CT) and David Diaz a guard from Christopher Columbus High School (Miami, FL).

"We are excited about our incoming class. We think we still have a couple more pieces coming and we will have a very good recruiting class," added Caruso.

The Eagles are coming off their best season under Coach Caruso, going 26-3 overall, falling in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. The 2013-2014 season was the second straight year the Eagles won 20 or more games, and earned their 4th National Tournament Appearance in six seasons.
