    IRVING, Texas (April 11, 2018) - The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced today the members of the 2018 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. An all-time high 1,251 players from a record-tying 302 schools qualified for membership in the society's 12th year.

    BANGOR, Maine - John Smith was the NCAA Division III statistical champion in rushing yards per game. The senior tailback and his offensive line averaged 186.8 yards per game, while finishing the year with 2,242 total rushing yards.

    DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced the recipients of the 2017 Fall Academic Honor Rolls today. Husson University had 53 student-athletes named to the team, while a total of 1,857 student-athletes from across the ECAC membership made the list.

    SALEM, Va. - Husson senior tailback John Smith and senior rover Jean Gabriel have been named to the D3football.com All-America team, the organization announced on Friday evening. Smith was named to the second team offense, while Gabriel earned the nod on the third team specialists.

    NEW YORK - Husson senior running back John Smith and junior defensive back Quan Soyini have been named Associated Press Little All-American team. Smith earned a first team nod while Soyini was named to the second team. The team was chosen by a panel of sports information directors from around the country and released Thursday.

    WACO, Texas - John Smith has been named to the 2017 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches’ All-American First Team. A week after becoming the first player in program history to be named the New England College Division Player of the Year, Smith is also the first Husson football player to earn AFCA All-American honors.

    MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Husson senior running back John Smith has been named to the 2017 D3football.com All-East Region First Team Offense, junior offensive line Brad Weston earned Second Team Offense honors, senior defensive back Jean Gabriel also earned a spot on the second team but on the defensive side of the ball, and junior defensive back Quan Soyini has been named to the Third Team, the organization announced Wednesday night. It is the most selections for the Husson football team in a single season.

    DANBURY, Conn. – Husson senior running back John Smith and freshman offensive line Jacob Cameron have been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Football DIII First Team, and senior defensive back Jean Gabriel and junior defensive back Quan Soyini have been named to the Second Team, the conference office announced Wednesday morning. The team is voted on by representatives from the region's member institutions. It is the most selections for the Husson football team in a single season.

    MANCHESTER, N.H. - After leading Husson University to its most successful season in program history, Gabby Price has been named the New England College Division Coach of the Year and senior tailback John Smith, the season Division II/III Gold Helmet Award winner - presented by the Jack Grinold/Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation - announced by the New England Football Writers (NEFW) on Sunday afternoon. Additionally, Smith and junior cornerback Quan Soyini earned spots on the NEFW DII/DIII All-New England Team for their efforts this fall.
