BANGOR, Maine - For the first time this season, two men' basketball players have earned spots on the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Honor Roll and two women's basketball players on the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Honor Roll in the same week following a pair of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victories for both teams to improve their conference records to 4-0. The MWBCA compiled the women's stats for the past two weeks of competition while the MMBCWA reviewed performances just from the past week ending January 6th, 2019.
MMBCWA HONOR ROLL
Justin Martin - Senior, 6-6, Forward - Winslow, Maine
Helping the Eagles pick up a pair of NAC victories this past weekend, Justin Martin nearly averaged a double-double with 20 points and eight rebounds per game. He shot an impressive 72.7% (16-22) from the field, bringing in seven 3-pointers and five blocks against UMPI.
Brett Cunningham - Freshman, 6-5, Forward - Harrah, Okla.
Helping Husson break 100 points for the second time this season with a 113-68 victory, Brett Cunningham averaged 8.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game as the Eagles defeated UMPI twice over the weekend to improve their NAC record to 4-0.

MWBCA HONOR ROLL
Kenzie Worcester - Senior, 5-4, Guard - Washburn, Maine
Worcester led all-scorers with 23 points as Husson upset University of Chicago, ranked #8 in both the d3hoops and WBCA polls, in the Music City Classic in Nashville, Tennessee. The triumph marks the first win against a nationally ranked opponent in the Eagles' NCAA era. Worcester also set an individual NCAA era record for the Eagles by becoming the all-time leading scorer at Husson with 1541 points. The senior guard also helped hold UMPI to a mere seven points after the first half this past Saturday, as Husson continued on to grab an 89-30 victory for their second conference win of the weekend against the Owls. In all four matches including three wins, Worcester averaged 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.
Vanessa Duarte - Freshman, 5-4, Guard - Hawthorne, N.Y.
Duarte helped Husson upset University of Chicago, ranked #8 in both the d3hoops and WBCA polls, in the Music City Classic in Nashville, Tennessee which marked the first win against a nationally ranked opponent in the Eagles'; NCAA era. Netting a career high 16 points on Friday night against UMPI, Duarte helped pave the way towards a victory for the Eagles, shooting 4-6 from the 3-point arc. On Saturday, the rookie led all-scorers at the half with nine points as Husson held the Owls to a mere seven points in the first 20 minutes of the game. Helping Husson grab two NAC victories to improve their conference record to 4-0, Duarte averaged 14.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting an accurate 83.3% (10-12) from the field. Throughout all four games, the rookie averaged 7.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
