Husson University Finishes 94th in 2017-18 Learfield Director's Cup

BANGOR, Maine- Husson University Athletic Department ranked 94th and 3rd in the state with 210.50 points in the final Learfield Directors' Cup rankings, which is the highest finish in program history.

The Eagles started off the scoring in the fall as the football and field hockey teams each knocked off a nationally ranked opponent in the first round of the tournament to reach the second round therefore accumulating 53 points each.

The women's basketball team continued the scoring in the winter by winning the North Atlantic Conference Championship and making the first round of the tournament and earning 25 points.

Softball won five straight conference tournament games en route to a conference championship and earned the Eagles 25 points. Golf finished out the season as conference champions and earned 54.5 points.

The point total is based on the performance in the NCAA Division III tournament. The further you go in the tournament then the more point you recieve. The point values vary also based on the size of the tournament.
