WATERVILLE, Maine – Husson freshman Eric Dugas, junior Gavin Dugas, sophomore Sadie Royer, and senior Anne Marie Provencal have all earned North Atlantic Conference (NAC) weekly awards, the league announced Monday.
Player of the Week - Sadie Royer, Husson (So., F/D - Greene, Maine)
Royer scored all of the Eagles goals during the two double overtime games this past week. The sophomore scored the loan goal in a tough 2-1 loss to No. 17 UNE and then netted two goals in a 2-1 win over St. Joseph's. Royer tailed six points on the week while taking 12 shots, 11 of which were on frame.
Defensive Player of the Week - Anne Marie Provencal, Husson (Sr., GK - Skowhegan, Maine)
Provencal saw 184:42 minutes of action in two double overtime games this past week. The senior saved 24 of 27 shots that she faced in the two contests. The netminder made 12 saves in a tough 2-1 loss to No. 17 UNE and another 12 saves in a 2-1 victory over St. Joseph's (Me). On the week, Provencal recorded an .889 save percentage with a 1.14 gaa.
Player of the Week - Gavin Dugas, Husson (Jr. - Pittsfield, Maine)
Gavin Dugas lead the Husson Eagles' men golf team with an even 142 (68-74) to claim first place at the 2017 Maine Intercollegiate Golf Association (MEIGA) at the Martindale Country Club in Auburn, Maine. His low score helped lead the Eagles to their first MEIGA Championship since 2014 and 19th in program history, after the team recorded a 591.
