Russell, Caballero, Gross, and Hartman Earn NAC Weekly Awards

WATERVILLE, Maine – Husson freshman Zach Hartman, senior Lauren Russell, junior Miguel Caballero, and senior Cody Gross have all earned North Atlantic Conference (NAC) weekly awards, the league announced Monday.

Rookie of the Week - Zach Hartman, Husson (Fr. - Kennebunk, Maine)

Hartman finished seventh in the Husson Harrier Invitational, crossing the finish line with a time of 27:10. His finish helped lead the men's cross-country team to second place in their home event. 

Player of the Week - Lauren Russell, Husson (Sr., F - Saco, Maine)

Russell scored an unassisted goal in the Eagles' tough 4-2 loss to Springfield on Saturday. The senior now has three goals and six points on the season. 

Player of the Week - Miguel Caballero, Husson (Jr., F - Orono, Maine)

Caballero netted one goal and assisted on another in the Eagles' 4-0 win over Eastern Nazerene on Saturday night. His goal gave Husson a 2-0 lead, while his assist padded the Eagles' lead to 3-0. 

Defensive Player of the Week - Cody Gross, Husson (Sr., GK - Fair Lawn, N.J.)

Gross made two saves for Husson in a 4-0 win over Eastern Nazarene, recording his first win on the short season. The Eagle defense only allowed five shots, while the senior keeper did his part by stopping two shots on goal.
